Manchester United fans have been left 'disgusted' by one of their own players after new footage of their 3-0 defeat against Tottenham emerged.

United suffered another heavy home defeat at Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag on Sunday, with Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke all scoring.

Ten Hag's side were also down to 10 players for the entirety of the second half after captain Bruno Fernandes was shown a straight red card for a foul on James Maddison.

United fans were left furious with the opening goal the team conceded, with defender Micky van de Ven running through the midfield in a similar way to how FC Twente scored in their 1-1 draw at Old Trafford in the Europa League on Thursday.

In the build-up to the goal, which was scored by Johnson, left-back Diogo Dalot is marking the Spurs forward as he runs towards the penalty area.

However, despite starting the move alongside him, Dalot slows down as they reach the 18-yard box, meaning Johnson has a free and unchallenged run at goal to tap the ball in beyond Andre Onana.

And United fans have been left furious at the footage.

Taking to Twitter to react to the new clip, one fan wrote: "I love you Dalot, but this is unacceptable.

"He can see his man, and he's got the pace to easily close him down, so what was he doing here?"

A second added: "I need an explanation from Dalot and what he was thinking at the time. If my lad, who's 10, didn't follow his runner, I'd be worried about him."

A third said: "Subtle difference. Mazraoui keeps shoulder checking the man behind him whereas Dalot lets him run freely. That could have been saved."

A fourth stated: "For someone as fast as Dalot is, this is unbelievable. He can see his man. He can anticipate that a cross is going to come in. I can't get my head around what he's doing here."

And a fifth fumed: "This is blatant. I knew Dalot was in the wrong but first time I've seen the whole clip, disgusting."
