Man Utd still in talks to complete transfer for 'the next Jude Bellingham' despite failed deadline day move
Manchester United are still in talks to sign one of the brightest young prospects in English football, despite having a "very big offer" turned down on deadline day, according to reports.
It was a disappointing end to the window for United as they failed to make a single addition.
However, it appears they are still working to complete a deal. In fact, those behind the scenes at Old Trafford 'remain confident' that a move for Leicester City midfielder Louis Page can be thrashed out.

That's according to a report from the Manchester Evening News, which claims United's late swoop for Page collapsed after both teams failed to agree on terms, with Leicester demanding a fee surpassing £10 million plus £2.5 million in add-ons.
Still, United are continuing to work on a deal and believe it can be completed.

The left-footed central midfielder, who has been dubbed 'the next Jude Bellingham' by some, has already made 25 appearances at senior level.
The 18-year-old was one of Leicester's standout performers in an otherwise dismal campaign last season and was named EFL Apprentice of the Year, an award that was previously won by, you guessed it, Jude Bellingham.
So, what would he bring to United's midfield? Much like Bellingham, Page has shown maturity beyond his years over the past year or so.
He is also comfortable receiving the ball under pressure in tight areas, can drive through the lines and regularly picks out the right pass in the final third.
Manchester United made 'very big offer' for Page
Earlier this week, Page showed why United are chasing a move as he produced an assist in Leicester's 2-0 win over Plymouth.
Speaking after the final whistle, Leicester boss Russell Martin shed light on United's approach for the youngster.
"The owner was here today [and] we sat in the office and received a very big offer from Manchester United," he said.
"Myself, Jon [Rudkin] (chief football officer), James [McCarron] (sporting director) and the owner, Khun Top, sat in [the office] and he said no. So whatever's going on with the noise around the club and all that stuff, he was strong, and he wanted the player to stay and be part of us.
"It would have been so easy for him to sell Louis and take a lot of money. But he didn't.
"It's a brilliant thing for us. Louis, you can see the level of quality and potential he possesses is amazing.
"He's really helped us since coming into the team. Him and Sammy [Braybrooke] have an unbelievable connection and we have to build around these young guys. I'm really grateful that he's still here."
