Manchester United have sent scouts to watch one of their top targets ahead of a potential summer move, reports claim.
The Red Devils are in a strong position to return to the Champions League next season and it appears as though they are already making moves to strengthen their squad.
According to Calciomercato, United had scouts in attendance to watch AC Milan star Rafael Leao in action against Juventus at the San Siro on Sunday night.
The Portugal international was unable to get on the scoresheet or register an assist in the 0-0 draw but United are fans of the former Lille winger, who is also courting interest from Barcelona.

With two years remaining on his deal with the Rossoneri, Leao is not deemed to be “untouchable” and a bid of around £52 million could tempt them into selling in the summer.
Leao is viewed as one of the most exciting attackers in Italy, with nine goals and three assists in the 26 games in Serie A this season.
The 26-year-old has been previously linked with the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
Meanwhile, a report from The Telegraph claims United have sounded out both Micky Van de Ven and Murillo of Spurs and Nottingham Forest respectively, as they look for a new left-footed centre-back.
The club are happy with their five centre-back options but are still monitoring targets in the event they need to bring in a new central defender in the summer.
United are back in action on Monday night, taking on Brentford at Old Trafford. A win will see them move 11 points clear of sixth-placed Brighton and almost guarantee Champions League football next term.
