Man Utd player who has never made a first-team appearance could seal Champions League transfer

Manchester United are conducting a busy summer of business, and one player who wants to leave could now get his wish.

After qualifying for the Champions League under Michael Carrick, Man United are using the transfer window to reshape a squad that is capable of competing across all fronts.

United's return to Europe's elite means they will need depth in all areas, and three players have already joined the Red Devils.

Carrick snapped up back-up goalkeeper Karl Darlow on a free transfer from Leeds United, and his engine room has been bolstered with the additions of Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos for a combined £83million.

Tielemans and Santos will help fill the void of Casemiro's exit after he joined Inter Miami, and the Brazilian isn't the only player to leave Old Trafford this summer.

The 13-time Premier League champions have also waved goodbye to Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Hojlund and Andre Onana, with more departures expected.

Earlier this week, Radek Vitek confirmed he wanted to leave Man United in pursuit of regular first-team football.

"I feel great and ready to go again somewhere to be, hopefully, number one, so we will see. We will see what is going to happen," Vitek said after featuring in their pre-season defeat to Wrexham at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, Finland.

"At the moment, I am still here, but we will see. I hope so. I hope there will be some interest. I think you will know when things are more concrete."

The Czech shot-stopper had a phenomenal campaign at Bristol City, scooping the club’s Player of the Year award, Young Player of the Year award, and Players’ Player of the Year award.

Unsurprisingly, his excellent form in the second tier drew interest from newly-promoted trio Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City, ahead of their return to the Premier League.

But it appears the promising keeper could have even more tempting offers coming his way.

Radek Vitek is wanted by Champions League club Stuttgart

According to German outlet BILD, Vitek has emerged as an option for Stuttgart, who are preparing to be without Dennis Seimen for the foreseeable future.

Siemen was poised to take over from Alexander Nubel as the club's number one, but after picking up a thigh injury following a productive loan spell at Paderborn, his pathway to the first team has been curtailed.

The 20-year-old is expected to be out until mid-September, and that explains why Vitek has been placed on their shortlist.

United are thought to prefer loaning out their young goalkeeper, an agreement that would appeal to Stuttgart given the negligible financial outlay required.

Vitek has two years left to run on his Manchester United contract and is reportedly available for £15m.

A move to Stuttgart, who qualified for the Champions League after finishing fourth in the Bundesliga, could therefore appeal to the former Accrington Stanley loanee.

On Friday, Carrick named Vitek in his starting lineup for their friendly clash against Rosenborg at the Lerkendal Stadion, Trondheim.
