Manchester United fans are all saying the same thing about the list of Ballon d’Or nominees.

Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland lead the 30-player list of candidates for 2023's prestigious award after the official list was announced Wednesday.

The nominees include André Onana, Josko Gvardiol, Karim Benzema, Jamal Musiala , Mohamed Salah, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, Randal, Kolo Muani, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Emiliano Martínez, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Rúben Dias, Nicolo Barella, Erling Haaland, Yassine Bounou, Martin Ødegaard, Julián Álvarez, Ilkay Gündogan, Vinícius Júnior, Lionel Messi, Rodri, Lautaro Martínez, Antoine Griezmann, Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappé, Kim Min-jae, Victor Osimhen, Luka Modric, Harry Kane.

However, Manchester United fans have been left baffled by the exclusion of Marcus Rashford, with supporters taking to social media to share their thoughts.

One fan tweeted: "Getting 30 goals and 11 assists across all club competitions in 56 games and not getting put on the list of Ballon D’or nominees especially ahead of some of the scrubs on that list should honestly be a war crime.

"I’ve never been more shocked by a football list as I am right now", another added.

Imagine how Rashford feels right now damn", a third remarked.

"These awards make no sense at all", another exclaimed.

"Arsenal fan here, but its really surprising how Rashford didn't make the list tbf", a separate tweet read.

While a fifth fan pleaded: "Is it till he turns water into wine that he'll be recognised? Not in the Epl team of the season now this, so sad."

Indeed, Rashford enjoyed an excellent second half of the season and finished fifth in the Premier League goalscoring charts on 17 goals. While he was voted for the 2022/23 PFA Fans' Player of the Year award.

However, rival fans believe the 25-year-old hasn't done enough to warrant being a part of the list.

"Rashford only had a 3 months run of form, not enough for nomination tbh", wrote user wrote on Twitter.

"Winning the Carabao Cup doesn't get you nominated", another joked.

Do you think Rashford should have been nominated? Let us know in the comments.
