Manchester United star Lisandro Martinez's reaction to Amad Diallo's stunning winner in the FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool has emerged.

Martinez is currently out of action with a knee injury that he suffered during a 2-0 home win over West Ham in February.

The injury meant he was forced to watch United's stunning 4-3 win over Liverpool at Old Trafford from the sidelines.

He looked on as Antony's dramatic injury time goal took the game into extra time, before Harvey Elliott gave Liverpool the lead on 105 minutes.

But Marcus Rashford equalised again, before Alejandro Garnacho broke clear from a Liverpool corner and played in Amad to send Old Trafford into raptures.

Martinez witnessed the action from a director's box in front of the Stretford End, and footage of his incredible celebration has finally emerged online.

The Argentinian defender repeatedly punched the air in celebration, clearly showcasing the emotion of the moment.

And United fans loved his celebration, with one fan writing on social media: "Love this guy, always passionate about his club and demands that from all the players."

Another said: "I'll forever be grateful this guy plays for my club."

A third admitted: "It's hard to imagine he's only been here a season!! The passion."

A fourth stated: "I'm just imagining him on that pitch that day, he would have fought to the very end."

And a fifth added: "On par with Bruno as my favourite signing post Fergie."

Martinez returned to team training with the Argentina senior squad during the current international break, despite not being named in the squad by manager Lionel Scaloni.

That has prompted hope that he could make his comeback on Saturday when United travel to take on Brentford, with the centre-back completing the final stages of his rehabilitation work with Argentina in preparation for a return.
