Manchester United have been handed a huge double injury boost ahead of tonight's big Premier League clash against Chelsea.

Man United resume their league campaign at Chelsea following their dramatic draw against Brentford last weekend.

Mason Mount scored his first goal for the club in what appeared to be the match winner, having struck in the 96th minute.

But, in the 99th minute, Kristoffer Ajer levelled proceedings in a thrilling end to their fixture.

The Red Devils return to London as they travel to Stamford Bridge to face Mauricio Pochettino's side.

And ahead of tonight's meeting, Erik ten Hag has been dealt a big injury boost.

According to Samuel Luckhurst, Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans have both been passed fit and are in the squad for the showdown against Chelsea.

It will come as a huge relief for Ten Hag, who will be without Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof while Luke Shaw is sidelined until May.

As for Martinez and Lindelof, they suffered muscle injuries against Brentford and are both ruled out for at least a month.

Varane was forced off injured at half-time against the Bees and Evan has missed the last two games.

But both players are in contention to play against Chelsea.

On Wednesday, Ten Hag conceded he's lacking options at the back following the slate of injuries.

He said: "On the frontline and midfield we are OK, and we have options there but, in the backline, we have a lack of options.

"The good thing is back in training this afternoon is Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans."

On Man United's current injury woes, the Dutch boss added: "We don't train too hard. With the standards in this league, you need to be fit.

"We have good departments, we have good people around with a lot of knowledge. Based on data, we make our decisions.

"The huge amount of games also has an impact."
