Gabriel Agbonlahor absolutely ripped into Manchester United following their bruising defeat to Brighton on Saturday.

The Red Devils suffered their third defeat of the new Premier League season as they lost 3-1 at home to Roberto De Zerbi's side.

Danny Welbeck opened the scoring in the 20th minute, with Pascal Gross doubling his team's lead just after the break. Joao Pedro added a third as Hannibal Mejbri pulled one back.

At this early stage, Man United languish in 12th place in the league, having picked up just six points from their opening five league games.

Erik ten Hag's decision to take off Rasmus Hojlund angered fans in attendance, with Agbonlahor slamming the Dutch boss' team following their calamitous showing.

The talkSPORT pundit said it was a 'stroll in the park for Brighton' as he referenced the club's possession, completed passes and shots on target.

He also took aim at Man United pair Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez, while bringing up Harry Maguire, who came under more fire after scoring an own-goal in England's win over Scotland.

On Casemiro, he said: "Casemiro looked about 45 when he was running around the pitch."

Jamie O'Hara weighed in: "He couldn't get back. He couldn't track back. He couldn't get close to anyone in midfield. It was really bad."

The former Aston Villa forward also hit out at Martinez's performance, singling out his positioning for Brighton's second goal as he claimed Maguire deserves to play.

"Maguire deserves to play in that team. Let’s keep the same energy for Martinez," he continued.

Man United have now lost to Tottenham, Arsenal and Brighton this season as they occupy a place in the bottom half of the table.

Ten Hag's outfit resume their campaign on Wednesday as they begin their Champions League venture with a big showdown against Harry Kane's Bayern Munich.

As for their next league game, they face a trip to VIncent Kompany's Burnley next Saturday.
