Luke Littler played ‘Winner Stays On’ by picking between a selection of Manchester United icons.

The 17-year-old has made waves in the world of darts since finishing runner-up in January’s World Championships. Since, Littler has won three Pro Tour titles and been a Premier League regular.

During his rise, Littler has been vocal about his support for United and even poked fun at the Liverpool faithful after the Red Devils’ FA Cup win last week.

In a Sky Sports video, Littler played a United edition of “Winner Stays On”, where he was asked to pick a favourite Old Trafford star from an assortment of club favourites past and present.

First up, Gary Neville was pitted against Sky Sports colleague Roy Keane, with Littler picking the former after seconds of deliberation.

Then, Neville was put up against Rio Ferdinand, with the centre-back preferred. However, the next round saw Ferdinand swiftly ousted by David Beckham, who departed Old Trafford for Real Madrid some four years before Littler was born.

Current United skipper Bruno Fernandes was swiftly dismissed when up against Beckham, with Littler saying “It’s got to be David.” Ruud van Nistelrooy suffered the same fate, with Beckham preferred to the Dutchman.

“I didn’t really watch much of them”, Littler admitted before selecting Beckham over Paul Scholes, while he made the same admission about Eric Cantona, before once again choosing the former England skipper over the enigmatic Frenchman.

Beckham was finally ousted by Wayne Rooney, with Littler explaining: “I'll probably go Wayne Rooney over David Beckham because I witnessed more of Rooney than David.”

Finally, Cristiano Ronaldo entered the fray against Rooney, with Littler emphatically saying “Cristiano all day”, crowning the five-time Ballon d’Or victor the game’s winner.

On Thursday, Littler dropped from third to fifth in the Premier League rankings after suffering defeat in the quarter-finals against Michael Smith.

Littler had led 3-1 but Smith rallied back and took advantage of the teenage’s inconsistency to win 6-4.
