Manchester United are poised to begin contract negotiations with Kobbie Mainoo with the England international set to be handed a huge salary increase.
Mainoo has started all three of United's matches under interim manager Michael Carrick, playing a key role in the performances that have all ended in victory.
This run of starts comes after the 20-year-old only made Ruben Amorim's starting eleven once this season, with his sole start coming against Grimsby in the Carabao Cup.
Mainoo's relationship with Amorim appeared to hit boiling point in December, when his brother Jordan Mainoo-Hames wore a 'free Kobbie Mainoo' T-shirt during the 4-4 draw with Bournemouth.

With the midfielder back in the fold at Old Trafford, a new deal is reportedly on the cards, with Mainoo's current contract running until 2027.

According to talkSPORT, United chiefs have opened conversations with Mainoo, and are optimistic of agreeing a deal before the World Cup.
The academy graduate earns a reported £25,000 a week as it stands, but the report claims United are set to offer Mainoo a six-figure wage to at least quadruple his current earnings.
Carrick made feelings on Mainoo clear before United job
Mainoo's resurgence under Carrick shouldn't come as a surprise following the new manager's comments on Rio Ferdinand Presents last year.
"I think it's normal," Carrick said when quizzed on Mainoo falling out of favour at Old Trafford.
"My third year at West Ham, I was terrible. I came out of the England squad, I just couldn't put it together. I think it's a little bit different for him, it can happen for so many players."
Carrick added: "[You've got to] stick at it and keep believing. It's tough at times. You need people to stick with you and believe in you and trust you, telling you you're doing the right things and you're good enough - all that stuff.
"I think we're quite quick from season to season or six months to six months to say, 'He's good enough, he's not good enough'. We were given a lot more time."
