Manchester United may finally get a new striker as details of a shock swap deal involving Jadon Sancho have emerged.

Since the end of the 2024/25 season, several reports have suggested that United are hoping to bring in a new striker during the summer transfer window as a replacement for lacklustre pair Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund.

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha joined United early in June for a reported fee of £62.5million, however it is widely believed that he may be used elsewhere in Ruben Amorim's attack.

The likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Hugo Ekitike and Jean-Philippe Mateta have been all been linked with a move to Old Trafford, United are yet to push for a star striker.

According to a new report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Serie A giants Juventus have offered striker Dusan Vlahovic to United as a solution to their issues up front.

The 25-year-old is no longer viewed as a key player at the Italian club and with just one year left on his contract, they are eager to let him go this summer, with United seen as the perfect destination.

Although Sancho is not believed to be directly involved in any potential deal for Vlahovic right now, recent links between the Englishman and Juventus could mean that United may decide to use him as part of negotiations should they decide to pursue Vlahovic.

A report from Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that Juventus recently offered a bid of €10 million, plus €5 million in bonuses for Sancho, who they view as one of their top target this summer.

But, the report also suggested that United are instead looking to bring in around £25 million to part ways with the winger.

Therefore, using Vlahovic as part of a deal could help bridge the gap between the two clubs' valuations for Sancho and allowing United to get Sancho in a potentially cut-price deal.

However, Romano later revealed that, while United are aware of the possibility of signing the Serbian international, they are not yet willing to begin negotiations as they plan to focus solely on a deal for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.
