Jadon Sancho has been spotted watching Manchester United's under-18s after being banished from the first-team by Erik ten Hag.

Sancho and Ten Hag clashed after the player's omission from Man United's matchday squad for their Premier League clash against Arsenal.

The Dutch boss said the winger was axed from the travelling party to London due to his sub-par training performances.

Sancho hit out at Ten Hag's claim as he released a statement on social media, claiming he had been made a 'scapegoat' at Man United.

He has since deleted the post from social media, but his refusal to apologise to the 53-year-old has seen him banished from the first-team.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford as he won't be involved in today's game against Brighton.

He was, though, at Carrington, watching the club's under-18s in action. A picture emerged online of the Englishman with a member of staff as he took in the game.

Speaking on Friday, Ten Hag addressed Sancho's situation as he stressed that the team is more important than any one individual.

Asked if he could play for Man United again, he replied: "I don't know.

"Tomorrow we have a big game, we are going into a new block of games, many games in a condensed programme. I focus on that.

"He is not available, so in this moment, he is not important, because he can't contribute."

Ten Hag added: "That is not about me, and to be strict. No. This is in favour of the team.

"I don't think about that [Sancho's social media post] and I don't talk about that, because I have to win a game. It is all about that.

"The players who are there and available deserve me. I have to guide them, I have to prepare them, it is about that. I only focus on the players who are available."
