One of Manchester United's key players has suffered an injury while away from the club on international duty.
In their final match before the international break, Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim released some of the pressure regarding his future by picking up a 2-0 win over Sunderland.
Mason Mount opened up the scoring early in the match before star summer signing scored his first goal at Old Trafford to double the hosts' lead and secure the three points.
The result was just United's third win of the 2025/26 season, with United fans hoping that it could finally be the start of a good run of form, despite the fact that they face rivals Liverpool in their next Premier League fixture.

But fans will be worried that they could be without a young player that has impressed so far this season after he picked up an injury while on international duty.

Alongside several of Amorim's starting XI, some of the young players he has relied on to come off the bench this season were called up to represent their countries over the break.
Among them, is Ayden Heaven, who was called up to play for England's U20s for their friendly match against Switzerland U20 at St George's Park National Football Centre.

Despite starting in the match, things didn't go well for the United youngster as he went down injured in the first minute of the match.
Although he was able to continue after receiving treatment on the pitch, he did not reemerge in the second half, raising concerns among United fans.
Thankfully, it would appear that it's not all bad news for Amorim as England U20 boss Ben Futcher provided a promising update after full-time.
He said: "He picked something up. I don't think it is too serious, but we will have to see how it settles down."

So far this season, Hayden has made just two appearances for United, but is expected to continue to be a key player in the future given Amorim's opinion on the 19-year-old.
Speaking to MUTV last season, Amorim said: “I think once again Jason Wilcox is doing a great job bringing Ayden."
"I think these types of players are what we need," Amorim continued. "He showed a lot of quality and character after the big injury.
