Fans have been left in disbelief after Harry Maguire escaped a red card during Manchester United vs Fulham.

On Saturday afternoon, the Red Devils welcomed Fulham to Old Trafford looking to make it five wins in a row in the Premier League.

With 36 minutes on the clock, Maguire was shown a yellow card after a late tackle on Sasa Lukic.

However, fans were left fuming as replays shown Maguire could have easily seen red.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “How is this not a red card on Maguire?”

Another tweeted: “That's a crystal clear red card for Maguire. What the f**k.”

A third fan added: “That's a red card offense man. Maguire should be off.”

Someone else wrote: “How has Maguire NOT received a red card there?”

A fifth commented: “That should be a stonewall red card for Maguire. Insane.”

Another fan said: “How is this not a red card for Maguire. Var must be kidding.”

This is now the second match running that United have potentially been lucky not to have a player sent off.

During their 2-1 win over Luton Town last weekend, Brazilian midfielder Casemiro was lucky to stay on the pitch after making a rash challenge whilst already on a yellow card.

The midfielder was eventually taken off at halftime after escaping a second booking during the first period.

After about that incident, Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag said: “Again, with Casemiro, it’s very harsh to concede the first booking and I don't understand why. And then of course, in the second, that was a booking. Very clear.

“I think also the referee knows what's going on with the first one. And I think the refereeing in general, it can't be all the time Casemiro, by his first tackle, they book him.”
