Manchester United secured a 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest in Casemiro’s final game at Old Trafford; however, a piece of information that may have been missed as supporters bid farewell to the Brazilian is that another player’s exit from the club this summer was confirmed.
Casemiro would pick up a yellow card in the victory over Nottingham Forest, but he would also collect three points in his final game at Old Trafford wearing the United jersey.
The Brazilian’s farewell was only one of the talking points from the Red Devils’ victory, with another being Bruno Fernandes equalling the Premier League assist record, as the midfielder still has one final match to achieve the feat outright.
However, as Matheus Cunha scored the second United goal, it was surrounded in controversy, as it appeared that Bryan Mbeumo would have been punished for handling the ball in the build-up; however, the referee deemed it accidental and allowed the effort to stand.

Gary Neville was shocked at the referee’s decision, as he believed it was a handball and that the goal should not have stood, while football fans were also surprised that the effort was allowed to stand.

Yet, amongst all this commotion, it would have been easy to miss Man United’s official announcement that Tyrell Malacia will leave the club at the end of his contract this summer.
Malacia joined the Reds from Feyenoord in July 2022 and has made 49 first-team appearances in total.
The defender has only featured twice this season for the club, both against Newcastle United, after spending last season on loan at PSV Eindhoven, where he would win the Eredivisie.
Malacia was part of the Man United squad that lifted the 2023 EFL Cup, but his exit was confirmed by Michael Carrick in his post-match speech to fans, as reported by the club.
The manager said: “There's Tyrell, who I spoke to the boys about before kick-off.
"He's been through a tough time due to injuries. I encourage you to show him your support."
