A full breakdown of Manchester City's deal for Sergio Aguero shows the club paid for him in three installments.

Aguero moved to Man City from Atletico Madrid in 2011 in a transfer worth €36 million (£31.5 million).

But the deal also included a string of bonus clauses, according to Football Leaks website.

The Blues paid €12 million (£9.5 million) at the time of the transfer, with a further payment of €12 million made in 2012 and again in 2013.

The club also agreed to pay €250,000 (£197,000) for every season in which Aguero scored 15 goals and a further €250,000 for whenever he played 25 games in a single season.

He scored 15+ goals and appeared in 25+ games in every campaign other than his final season at the club.

He enjoyed the best term of his Man City career in the 2016/17 season, recording 33 goals in all competitions.

They paid €1million (£789,000) to Atleti for each of the club's Premier League titles during his time at the Etihad.

And the same fee if City reached a Champions League final, which they reached in the 2020/21 season. A payment of €500,000 (£395,000) was owed if they reached the semi-final of the competition.

All bonuses stop once they reach €2million (£1.6million).

Aguero enjoyed 10 brilliant seasons at Man City and will go down as a legend.

He made 390 appearances, scoring a staggering 260 goals - and is the club's all-time top goalscorer.

The Argentine won five Premier League titles, six League Cups and the FA Cup during his trophy-laden spell in England.
