The context behind a leaked video of Pep Guardiola that was filmed inside the Etihad has emerged after it sparked rumours of a potential farewell.
Guardiola, who is under contract at Manchester City until 2027, has yet to confirm whether he will see out the remainder of his deal, which has led to growing speculation around his immediate future.
He recently spoke about his enthusiasm for the job, although a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport recently claimed that Guardiola could be tempted by a proposal to manage the Italian national team.
Former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has also been linked with the job at City and recently opened up on the prospect of taking over at the Premier League club.

"A future at Manchester City? What matters, regardless of the club, is being ready," he said. "There are only a few weeks left until the end of the season, then we’ll see what happens.”
Amid rumours surrounding Guardiola's uncertain future, footage emerged on Thursday afternoon that shows Guardiola walking amongst 18 trophies that were neatly arranged in the middle of the Etihad pitch.
This naturally led to speculation around a possible tribute video for the Spaniard, but journalist Ben Jacobs soon provided further context behind the clip.
"Understand this specific video is part of Bernardo Silva’s farewell after nine years and 18 trophies at the club," he wrote on X.
"Regarding Pep Guardiola. There remains a possibility he departs this summer even though Manchester City point to his contract expiring in summer 2027. However, the leaked video is Silva related," he added.

Bernardo Silva, who has won six Premier League titles and one Champions League during his trophy-laden spell with City, will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 31-year-old confirmed his departure in an emotional statement. "I arrived as a Man City player, I leave as one more of you, a Man City supporter for life," he wrote.
Manchester City coaches to leave at the end of the season
Lorenzo Buenaventura, who has worked with Pep Guardiola for more than 15 years, will leave City at the end of the season alongside goalkeeper coach Xabi Mancisidor.
The exits of Buenaventura and Mancisidor will no doubt raise eyebrows around Guardiola's future.
A number of sources around the City first-team are expecting the manager to leave this summer, according to a report from The Athletic, which also claims that Guardiola is 'deeply motivated by the way his young side are finishing the season.'
