Nottingham Forest have immediately made a move to make a statement signing following confirmation they will be playing Europa League football this season.
Forest have had to deal with a summer of uncertainty surrounding their European ambitions, with Crystal Palace appealing a decision to bar them from the Europa League following their FA Cup win.
Palace, who won the Community Shield on Sunday by beating Liverpool on penalties, argued that Textor's influence at Selhurst Park was 'not decisive'. The American has since resigned from the Lyon board and agreed to sell his Palace shares to US investor Woody Johnson.
However, Forest can now fully set their sights on the competition after UEFA's verdict confirmed Palace would be demoted to the Europa Conference League with Nuno Espirito Santo's side taking their place.
Following the news, Forest have taken quick action in the transfer market, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that the club are closing in on a deal for Manchester City star James McAtee.
The report claims the England U21 international has already agreed personal terms with Forest, as the two clubs close in on an agreement worth in excess of £20m.
McAtee had multiple offers to choose from with Premier League and European clubs expressing interest, however, the 22-year-old is set on a move to the City Ground.

Despite only making three Premier League starts last season, Pep Guardiola heaped praise on the youngster for his performances.
“He’s a special, talented player,” Pep said following McAtee's FA Cup hat-trick in January.
“I’m not going to deny how happy I am. It’s not easy to score a hat trick but he can play better. First half was not his best and he has to do that.
“But he’s an exceptional guy and he has special talent.
“When he plays close to the opposition, he has an incredible sense of goal. His work ethic is unbelievable and he is aggressive.
“Today was not easy. He was man marked in the middle. I’m really pleased for him," he added.
