Manchester City are set to be involved in another winter transfer deal, according to reports.

City spent around £180 million on four new arrivals in the transfer window, with Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis and Nico Gonzalez all moving to the Etihad Stadium.

They also signed young defender Juma Bah from Real Valladolid but he was immediately loaned out to Ligue 1 side Lens until the end of the season.

Sky Sports News reported that City were able to spend huge sums in the winter due to their lack of business in the summer, with manager Pep Guardiola wanting to keep faith in the players that delivered the club their fourth consecutive Premier League title last season.

But City are currently fifth in the Premier League and must defeat Real Madrid in the Champions League knockout round tie next week to avoid a shock early exit from Europe's premier club competition.

Those fresh incomings have caused a number of exits, with several fringe players leaving the club on loan during the transfer window.

Josh Wilson-Esbrand and Jacob Wright, who have both been involved with the first team squad this season, departed temporarily to Stoke and Norwich respectively.

Kyle Walker also joined AC Milan on loan and could have played his last game for City.

Now another player is set to leave on loan.

According to journalist Vene Casagrande (via Sport Witness), Brazilian winger Kayky is set to return to his home country to play for Bahia.

He claims that an operation has been 'finalised', with the deal set to be 'announced soon'.

Kayky spent the first half of the season at Eredivisie side Sparta Rotterdam after recovering from a knee ligament injury that caused him to miss 15 months of action.

The loan deal was initially until the end of the season, but the 21-year-old was not involved in the Dutch side's latest matchday squad and it now appears that his future lies elsewhere.

He initially joined City from Fluminense in 2021 for an initial fee of €10 million, alongside a reported further €15 million in add-ons.

The winger made his Premier League debut in the 2021/22 season and played a further two matches across all competitions, but now appears to be preparing to return to the club he previously had a loan spell with in 2023.
