Fan footage from the Stamford Bridge away end has emerged after Chelsea full-back Marc Cucurella was forced to walk past the Manchester City fans.

Enzo Maresca's first Premier League game in charge of Chelsea ended in defeat as goals from Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic handed the reigning champions all three points.

Haaland, who was making his 100th appearance in a City shirt, opened his Premier League account for the 24/25 campaign after nudging Marc Cucurella off the ball with ease.

The prolific Norwegian forward proceeded to clip the ball past an onrushing Robert Sanchez.

"He [Sanchez] always stays a lot on the line, so that’s why I took a couple extra touches and then he’s rushing out, and then I knew exactly what to do," Haaland explained in his post-match interview with Sky Sports.

Haaland's battle with Cucurella was one of the biggest talking points in the build-up to Sunday's game after the full-back created a chant about Haaland during Spain’s Euro 2024 celebrations.

The Spanish full-back took to the stage and was heard singing: "Cucu, Cucurella, he eats paella, Cucu, Cucurella he drinks Estrella, Haaland you’d better tremble as Cucurella is coming."

He also belted out the chant in Spain’s hotel on the night of their win over England, as seen in the footage below.

It has been over a month since those much-talked-about scenes in Berlin and it appears Cucurella's actions remain fresh in the memory.

As he made his way around the Stamford Bridge pitch after being replaced by Renato Veiga, the Spaniard was taunted by hundreds of Manchester City supporters.

Fan footage soon emerged on X, formerly Twitter, with the clip picking up more than 1.3 million views at the time of writing.

After the full-time whistle, Haaland opened up about Cucurella's decision to sing his name after Spain came out on top at Euro 2024.

Speaking to Viaplay Fotball, he said: “Well, Cucurella is a funny man. Last season he asked for my shirt… and this summer he sings a song about me."

Haaland also snubbed Cucurella in the 78th minute of Sunday's clash after the Spanish left-back went down with cramp.
