Fans are all making the same point after seeing what Todd Boehly did during Chelsea vs Manchester City.

On Sunday afternoon, reigning champions City travelled to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea to begin their Premier League title defence.

Goal machine Erling Haaland opened the scoring in the 18th minute to give City the lead.

In the second half, Pep Guardiola’s men doubled their lead with six minutes on the clock as former Chelsea man Mateo Kovacic made it 2-0.

Shortly after the second goal, Chelsea owner Boehly was seen leaving his seat and heading back inside.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Todd Boehly just gone to search for more players on Transfermarket.”

Another tweeted: “Todd Boehly going to buy more 40+ players for Chelsea?”

A third fan added: “Going to make more signings.”

Someone else wrote: “Off to buy another 10 players.”

A fifth commented: “Where's my damn wallet?”

Another fan said: “Off he goes, to buy about 10 more players before the window closes.”

Chelsea have been extremely busy in the summer transfer window so far having already brought in the likes of Marc Guiu, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen, Omari Kellyman, Aaron Anselmino, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, Pedro Neto and Tosin Adarabioyo.

The Blues have also been linked with Napoli front man Victor Osimhen ahead of transfer deadline day.

Speaking after the match, the scorer of the secon goal, Kovacic said: “We are missing some big players but it's always tough when you miss big players.

“I had a longer break so I could recover better, I wanted to be ready for the beginning of the season.”

He added: “I play today some kind of his role, but we are always missing Rodri because he is, if not the best player, one of the best in the world.

“I don't score many goals and when you score you want to celebrate. But I have a huge respect for Chelsea, I spent five years here. I scored but that is not always the most important thing for me, the most important is winning. This team is so hungry and it's a pleasure to be a part of it and win titles.”
