Liam Gallagher didn't hold back when lashing out at Richard Keys' comments about Manchester City's financial fair play charges.
In February 2023, the Premier League charged Manchester City with breaking financial fair play (FFP) rules on 115 times across a nine-year period.
Over three years later, City, who have strongly denied any wrongdoing, are awaiting a decision regarding the outcome of the charges, with various punishments believed to be under consideration.
Despite this, City have remained active in the transfer market, making a number of major signings in the years since the charges were first brought forward, spending over £400m since January 2025 alone, signing 13 players in that time.

With the summer 2026 transfer window now on the horizon, it appears that City have no plans on slowing down their spending, with recent reports linking Pep Guardiola's side with a £65m move for England international Elliot Anderson.
Sharing a copy of the report on social media, beIN SPORTS reporter Keys asked: "How can they keep spending money when there is still no word on 135 outstanding charges relating to mis-spending of money?"
A question that clearly didn't sit well with Gallagher, a lifelong City supporter, who brutally replied: "ZIP IT YOU YA SPUNKBUBBLE."
Gallagher often posts about City on his social media account and on several occasions has shown he has no issue hitting out at people criticising his boyhood club.
In fact, this isn't even the first time that he has lashed out at Keys after the former Sky Sports host claimed that his beloved City have 'won another asterisk to go with the title' after the won the Premier League for the fourth consecutive year in 2024.

Writing in his blog at the time, Keys claimed: "It wasn't just the final day that felt flat - I thought City's achievement did.
"They know, they all know - fans, players and management alike, that none of us can take anything they do at face value - until they've answered the 115 outstanding breaches of PL regulations."
But once he had shared the blog on social media, Gallagher made sure to make his feelings on the claims known with a simple, yet effective one word reply.
"Cuckoo," Gallagher wrote in response to Keys' blog.
