Manchester City fans think they have spotted an awkward exchange between Ilkay Gundogan and Kyle Walker during the 2-0 loss to Juventus.

On Wednesday night, Italian giants Juventus handed City their ninth win in 10 games after beating them 2-0 at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League.

Following the match, right-back Kyle Walker was targeted by fans on social media for his lacklustre performance in the match.

And now, some fans have noticed an awkward moment in the match involving the club captain and teammate Gundogan, and it appears to reveal a lot about their relationship.

Posting a clip from the match on social media platform X, one fan pointed out that Gundogan appeared to shoot Walker a disapproving look during the match.

Alongside the video, the fan wrote: "That look to Walker… Gundogan is all of us."

Reacting to the video, one fan added: "That moment ended me because they spoke of nods and non-verbal language the other day and this is not an encouraging one tbh."

Another added: "Bro I saw this part of this game and just shook my head. I’m sure they knows he’s washed, it’s crazy making insane mistakes and still getting to start every game. I need Ake & Akanji back, at least, the mess will reduce a bit."

While one frustrated fan criticised the German international, writing: "Gundogan is bigger fraud that Walker. What did even Gundogan do except losing the ball?"

Speaking after the match, Gundogan brutally assessed his own performance and the general performance of his side.

"At the moment it feels like every attack we concede, it's so dangerous," he told TNT Sports

"I have a feeling sometimes we're a bit careless in duels, instead of playing simple we over-complicate things and we miss the right timing to pass or release the ball, and just losing balls and they score on the transition every time and gives them counter-attacks and we have to chase every time 50, 60 metres back.

"That's not what we're built for; we're built for possession, keeping the ball, being strong. And even if you cannot do anything in a duel, don't lose it. At the moment it's just not working out for us."
