Man City fans demand player is sold after Juventus humiliation and Pep Guardiola already knows who his replacement will be

Manchester City are in agreement over the player who needs to be sold after a disappointing defeat away at Juventus in the Champions League.

Manchester City fans are demanding the same player is sold after their dire run of form continued away at Juventus in the Champions League.

Following a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest a week ago and a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend, City slipped to a 2-0 loss in Turin after second half goals from Dusan Vlahovic and Weston McKennie - leaving them in serious danger of not making the Champions League knockout stages.

Pep Guardiola's men dominated the ball for large spells but couldn't find their form in the final third and were guilty of some slack defending once again. And not for the first time, captain Kyle Walker was culpable.

For the first goal, where Vlahovic's header trickled over the line, Walker was far too slow getting out to the cross after Ederson had made a save to deny Federico Gatti.

And after a series of dismal displays and costly errors this season, fans have had enough of the former Spurs right-back.

One wrote: "Can we sell Kyle Walker mid game? Honestly I’m fed up of having to watch him get embarrassed on a weekly basis. He’s completely forgot how to play football.

Another said: "Kyle walker should retire after that goal.

A fourth fumed: "Kyle Walker again. It’s every week. Why is he playing? Why is he captain?"

A fifth added: "I'm convinced that Kyle Walker is purposely making my life harder at this point."

A final user stated: "Kyle Walker really needs to leave football."

Walker signed a new contract extension in 2023, tying him to the club until 2026. But according to reports from TuttoJuve, City have expressed an interest in replacing him with Andrea Cambiaso, who can play on the left or right of defence.

The former Genoa player has enjoyed an impressive campaign for the Bianconeri but with a contract lasting until 2029, he won't come on the cheap and Juve deem him to be "unsellable".

However, City are said to be prepared to pay "significant sums" for his services. Rivals United are also believed to be monitoring Cambiasso, along with Real Madrid and Arsenal.
