The reported cost of Jack Grealish’s proposed loan move to Everton has emerged, and the figure involved is eye-watering.
It has been a summer of change for Everton, both on and off the pitch.
On Saturday (August 9), their state-of-the-art Hill Dickinson Stadium was filled with almost 53,000 supporters for the first time as Italian outfit AS Roma came away with a 1-0 win.
And as Toffees fans get used to their new home, they will also become acquainted with several new players.

Centre-forward Thierno Barry, midfielder Kiernan Dewsburry-Hall, attacking midfielder Carlos Alcaraz, goalkeeper Mark Travers and left-back Adam Aznou have all made permanent switches to Merseyside this summer.
However, manager David Moyes recently admitted that he felt Everton were “running out” of time to get more deals over the line this summer.
One of Everton’s targets has been Manchester City winger Grealish, and after a summer of uncertainty surrounding the 29-year-old’s future, the Blues are reportedly closing in on a loan deal.

On Monday (August 11), journalist Fabrizio Romano issued an update on the situation via X.
He wrote: “Jack Grealish to Everton, here we go! Loan deal agreed with Man City and medical booked later today.
“Grealish said yes to #EFC project and he’s now set to complete his move in the next 24 hours. New addition for David Moyes.”
Meanwhile, BBC Sport reports that while talks are progressing about a season-long loan, that a deal is still not yet imminent.

The outlet also claims that the England international “would have preferred to join a team in the Champions League”, but no offer has yet been made by linked clubs Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
So, how much will the proposed loan deal cost Everton?
Well, according to Sky Sports journalist, Alan Myers, the deal could set the Toffees back by around £15m.

In his column for Everton News on Monday, he wrote: “A loan deal worth £15m is edging closer, and while a permanent move is hard to see at this moment, there is a desire from both sides to get a deal over the line.”
Grealish’s reported £300,000 per-week wages were thought to be an issue, but it remains unclear how much City will subsidise his salary.
Everton's Premier League season starts with a trip to Elland Road where they will face newly-promoted Leeds United on August 18.
