Erling Haland's X-rated remark to a Manchester City teammate was spotted after his incredible four-goal haul to sink Wolves.

Haaland pulled away in the Premier League goalscoring charts by netting a first-half hat-trick, before adding another in the second half of the 5-1 trouncing.

The Premier League champions have now gone a record 43 home games unbeaten and their title destiny remains in their hands.

Haaland has 25 goals in the league and 36 overall in all competitions but he was willing another player to get on the scoresheet.

Matheus Nunes has yet to find the net since a £53 million switch from Wolves and he came off the bench against his former employers on Saturday.

After the game, cameras picked up an exchange between Haaland and Nunes.

The Portugal international appeared to be discussing a moment during his cameo.

And then a smiling Haaland appeared to tell the former Sporting CP midfielder, "Why didn't you f****** shoot?!".

The Norwegian looked to be in fine spirits but that did not appear to be the case when he was substituted.

Haaland had a spiky reaction when he made way for Julian Alvarez, who notched City's final goal in the 85th minute.

He was seen in discussions with Pep Guardiola, before throwing some tape in frustration while sat on the bench.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker played things down post-match, while Guardiola had a different explanation for Haaland's mood.

"There were a lot of long balls into channels that he was pulled [back] but they say it's not foul," Guardiola said after the game, as per City's official website.

"I can understand the frustration when you are being pulled at the shoulder.

"It happens every game. He was a little frustrated for these actions, but I can guarantee he is so happy today."
