Erling Haaland's agent has been spotted holding talks with a sporting director of a huge European club as speculation continues over the Manchester City striker's future.

Haaland, 23, has made a huge impact in English football since joining City in a £51m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2022.

The Norwegian has scored an incredible 79 goals in just 83 games, including five in just one match against Luton in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

He has already won the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup during his time at the Etihad, and is among the favourites to claim the Ballon d'Or later this year.

Real Madrid reportedly remain keen to sign Haaland, having lost out to City in the battle to sign him from Dortmund two years ago.

However, the striker is now being linked with a move to Madrid's great rivals Barcelona instead.

That's after his agent Rafaela Pimenta was spotted meeting Barcelona sporting director Deco on Wednesday afternoon.

Spanish outlet Jijantes FC published a video of Pimenta and Deco entering and coming out of the same building, claiming they held talks over Haaland's future.

"Deco, the Barca sports director, met today with Rafaela Pimenta and Maxwell, the Norwegian forward's agents, among many others," Jijantes posted on X.

"Haaland's future, Laporta's great dream, one of the topics that have been discussed at the meal."

Haaland still has more than three years remaining on his current contract at City.

Reports earlier this season claimed the Premier League champions were confident of tying him down to a new long-term deal, with The Mirror claiming he could earn as much as £600,000 per week on an improved contract.

Speaking earlier this season about Haaland's future, Pimenta said he would only move when the time was right for both him and City.

"Erling is the master of his destiny," Pimenta told Relevo. "Not just now but his entire life and 100 per cent."

When asked if that meant Haaland will be able to choose where he plays next season, she added: "What I mean is that you have to use balance. We, club and player. We are all in the same boat.

"Things have to be talked about, treated, in such a way that everyone is okay. Comfortable and satisfied with the experience, they live together.

"I think it is not necessary to say that Erling does what he wants. It is not true. Erling is always going to do what is good for him and for his club, Manchester City. When everyone is willing to make a change, it will be done.

"He's not the type of player who's going to say: 'I'm leaving, bye, I don't want to know anything'. It is not like this. And it's not going to happen because respect comes before everything. If they give it to him, he will give it too."
