Throughout the season, Liverpool fans have been frustrated by Robertson as it some games it appears that he is no longer the world-class player that he once was under Jurgen Klopp.

Having watched American left-back Antonee Robinson put in a highly impressive performance at Anfield on Saturday, many fans have called on Liverpool to make a move when the transfer window opens next month.

And it now looks like the defender is open to joining the Premier League leaders, as he was spotted liking comments on Instagram from Liverpool fans asking him to join the club

Reacting to images of the like, one Liverpool fan wrote: "He was so good last night it made me jealous. Kostas is great and Robbo has his moments but DAMN."

Another agreed, adding: "Robinson yesterday moved different, so precise so composed."

While one claimed: "I knew that performance was too much, bro was trying to please the tops. He really wants to play for us."

Earlier this season, reports suggested that both Liverpool and Manchester United were preparing to battle each other to secure the 27-year-old's signature.

Both clubs see the American as the perfect long-term replacement for Robertson at Liverpool or Shaw at United, with Fulham seemingly valuing their star at around £35 million.

Reports at the start of the season had suggested that Fulham would be open to facilitating a transfer in January, however, it remains to be seen if this will still be the case after Robinson's importance to the side has become apparent this season.
