Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard could be set for a return to management after emerging as the frontrunner for a huge job.
Gerrard, 44, will forever be remembered as one of England's finest ever players.
During a career that spanned 18 years, Gerrard played for boyhood club Liverpool from 1998 to 2015 before leaving for Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy.

In 2016, the Englishman decided the time was right to hang up his boots.
Since then, Gerrard has dived into the world of management, taking charge of clubs likes Rangers, Aston Villa and Al Ettifaq.
The 44-year-old left the Saudi Arabian side back in January and has been out of a job ever since.

However, Gerrard has now emerged as the heavy favourite to return to his former club Rangers, as the Scottish outfit continue their search for a new boss.
As reported by The Daily Record, Gerrard is now the bookies' favourite to take over at Ibrox.
It has also been suggested that the former midfielder has asked for time to consult his family.
The report stated: "Gerrard has asked for time to speak to his wife and family with the decision to leave their lavish life in Bahrain, where they've been based since his move to Al-Ettifaq in 2023, no easy one."

Aside from Gerrard, the likes of Russell Martin and Davide Ancelotti have also been linked with the job.
On Thursday, betting company Coral had Gerrard as the 1/3 favourite for the Rangers job, followed by Ancelotti (2/1) and Martin at (9/2).
Marco Rose has been priced at 16/1 with Danny Rohl and Frank Lampard the outsiders at 25/1. (All odds were correct at the time of writing.)

John Hill of Coral stated: "Steven Gerrard enjoyed a successful spell as Rangers manager between 2018 and 2021, and we now make him odds-on to return to Ibrox for a second stint.
"Our betting suggests it is a two-horse race between Gerrard and Real Madrid assistant manager Davide Ancelotti."
