Liverpool fans are shocked after spotting what the club is selling ahead of the 2025 Carabao Cup final.

After a dominant 4-0 win in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final clash against Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool booked an opportunity to defend the trophy at Wembley later this month.

They will face Newcastle United who, after beating Arsenal 4-0 across two legs in their semi-final, are hoping to avenge their loss to Manchester United in the 2023 final and win their first major trophy in 70 years.

Ahead of the match, Liverpool have released some exclusive merchandise, including one particular item that fans are shocked has been put up for sale.

For decades, football fans from across the world have been highly critical of the now-infamous half and half scarves, but Liverpool appear to have taken things a step further.

An image on social media shows the club website selling a grey t-shirt with a square in the centre split into a red half with the Liverpool badge and a black and white striped half with the Newcastle United badge with the details of the match surrounding it.

The t-shirt no longer appears to be on sale, but that didn't stop fans on social media from making their feelings about it known on social media.

Reacting to a photo of the t-shirt, one fan joked: "Fan of half & half scarves but want to take it to the next level? Liverpool have got you covered."

While one expressed their disbelief at it, adding: "Someone actually signed that off as a good idea."

Another added: "This is as bad as the half n half scarves! Why are Liverpool FC selling merch with another club on it? Mad!"

And one joked: "Forget the half and half nonsense, how have the club allowed something as s*** as that onto their official store. Looks like a 12 year old Microsoft paint edit."

The Carabao Cup final is set to kick off in London on March 16 at 16:30pm, with Liverpool the current favourites to take home the trophy once again.
