Mohamed Salah's agent has released a brutal response to reports regarding the Liverpool winger's contract with the Reds.

Liverpool are currently believed to be assessing the futures of three of their most important players who all have contracts that are due to expire at the end of this season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Salah could all leave the club next summer, if new deals with the Reds are not signed soon.

And now, Salah's agent has released an important statement regarding the Liverpool star's future at the club.

Ramy Abbas Issa, who is officially regarded as Salah's lawyer and advisor, took to social media to hit out at journalists reporting on Salah's contract negotiations.

Posting on X, he wrote: "FYI - all those ‘journalists’ who imply having ‘inside information’ about Mohamed’s future are making claims/posts based on absolutely nothing. Just click-whoring. 'Sources close to Mohamed' don’t exist. This post is really just to tell you that they don’t know."

The Colombian has worked with the Salah since the early days of his career and is regularly critical of how the media report on football transfers and contract negotiations.

Despite this, Abbas Issa has previously teased Liverpool fans regarding Salah's future at Anfield by posting cryptic tweets that often made headlines during the negotiations of the winger's previous extension in July 2022.

Salah himself has remained tight-lipped about if fans can expect him to extend his stay with the Reds, however he did offer some insight following Liverpool's recent dominant 3-0 victory over rivals Manchester United.

"You know this is my last year in the club. I just want to enjoy it," he said on Sky Sports.

"It’s not up to me but no one has spoken to me at the club."

Likewise, new manager Arne Slot has refused to give any updates on how negotiations with Salah, Van Dijk or Alexander-Arnold are progressing.

Speaking ahead of this weekend's match against Nottingham Forest, Slot said: “Boring answer again... but we don't talk about contracts here.

“Not a distraction, I am fully focused on the team to work with them to get the best possible out of them.”
