Liverpool are reportedly concerned about one of their star players' future, with four clubs interested in making a move.

After winning the Premier League title in Arne Slot's first season in charge, the Reds have been busy in the transfer window.

So far, Liverpool have signed Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

Meanwhile, the likes of Milos Kerkez, Alexander Isak and Marc Guehi have been linked with a move to Anfield.

In terms of outgoings, Liverpool have already lost full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who recently joined Real Madrid.

Now, there are reportedly growing concerns about the future of defender Ibrahima Konate.

As reported by Caught Offside, Liverpool are concerned about a repeat of the scenario which saw Alexander-Arnold depart on a free transfer.

The report stated: "The 26-year-old’s contract expires in the summer of 2026, and negotiations over an extension have stalled.

"Liverpool are “concerned” about a repeat of the scenario that saw Trent Alexander-Arnold depart for Real Madrid on a free transfer."

It has been claimed that the Frenchman wants a weekly wage of £200,000, which Liverpool are reluctant to meet.

As a result, the likes of Al Hilal, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain are said to be keeping a close eye on the situation.

What has Ibou Konate said about his future?

Speaking about his future last month, Konate said: "You know, I just want to say one thing: everything you saw on social media is completely fake. I didn't even ask for something from the club. They made me an offer, and I replied to them with something, that is it.

"The rest (speculation) that I want to wait until the end... I want this, all of it is completely fake. And even the big journalists said in November I am very close to signing the deal. I was like: 'Ah, they have more information than me!?'"

The defender continued: "It was not true at that moment and that is why I was a little bit mad because it was not true at this moment. I knew at one moment people would think I didn't want to sign the contract but I was never close to signing it. We will see what will happen."
