Someone else wrote: "Yep that's his last time in red at Anfield you could see it in his face after scoring and at the end, he loves the club but he got to go play every week in a starting 11."
A fifth commented: "In any other Liverpool team he’d start every week, shame there’s other players ahead of him that won’t be dropped."

Last month, he said: "If I had it my way, I would be here for the rest of my career, it’s as simple as that. I love everything about the club.

Elliott added: "I have big ambitions, I want to get in the World Cup [squad], keep being successful as a player. I think it’s still something I need to review, I need to have a talk with everyone and review the situation."
