Liverpool manager Arne Slot was interviewed by the CBS Sports panel after his side recorded a convincing 4-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen – and fans are loving the segment.

The Reds continued their hugely impressive start to the 2024/25 campaign on Tuesday with another victory in the Champions League league phase, as goals from Luis Diaz [3] and Cody Gakpo sealed all three points.

After the win at Anfield, Slot spoke to CBS regulars Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards about a number of different subjects, including Jamie Carragher's analysis on Liverpool's comeback win over Brighton on Monday Night Football.

In fact, a relaxed Slot explained why Carragher wasn't "informed well enough" as he insisted his style of play is "quite similar" to Jurgen Klopp's.

Then, towards the end of the interview, Micah Richards asked the Liverpool manager about his favourite member of the CBS Sports panel, which brought plenty of laughs in the studio. Check out that moment below:

Slot answered: "Tony, the press officer, will probably tell me to choose the one that played for Liverpool, but I come from an era where I watched Dennis Bergkamp a lot," Slot smiled. "So I choose Thierry Henry."

Here's how fans on social media reacted to the interview.

One wrote: "It’s nice to see Slot's personality coming through," while another commented: "Slot is the most likeable manager in the league. Liverpool struck gold with him."

A third said: "The way this man deals with the media is amazing. Yes, as a winning coach you are doing well, but the way you see Slot expertly wrapping everyone around his finger is pure art."

A fourth wrote: "He’s great in interviews. Love the honesty and to-the-point answers mixed with humour. Great manager for us," and a fifth added: "Micah Richards nearly shattering Arne Slot’s eardrums."

In a separate interview, Slot singled out Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah, despite the fact that Xabi Alonso's side conceding four goals.

When asked why Luis Diaz played through the middle on Tuesday night, Slot said: "A few things… I only have four attackers available at the moment with the injuries of Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa, and Darwin [Nunez] didn’t play that much in the beginning and then he started to play a bit more.

"With this fixture list, it’s almost impossible to play them all, especially if you haven’t played that many games before

"So, that in combination with the fact that I think Tah, who is a real good defender and is one of the best defenders in Germany… maybe the best defender in Germany, maybe likes to play more against a target man, someone who’s there in the middle.

‘We chose to play Lucho more from the left or the midfield and then maybe surprise him afterwards with runs in behind – not only him but in general. If you look at the first goal, that played out – what a pass from Curtis Jones."
