Former Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has landed a new role in football.
Klopp, 58, has been without a coaching role since he stepped down as Liverpool boss following the 2023/24 campaign.
The German guided the Merseyside club to eight major trophies in nine years – the 2019 UEFA Champions League, 2019 FIFA Club World Cup, 2019 UEFA Super Cup, 2019-20 Premier League, 2021-22 FA Cup, 2021-22 and 2023-24 EFL Cups, and the 2022 FA Community Shield – ending their three-decade stint without a league title in 2020.
Since his Anfield exit, there has been much speculation about his next move and whether he will return to the dugout.

Last year, it was announced that he would undertake a role as Global Head of Soccer for the Red Bull Group, overseeing a network of clubs including RB Leipzig, New York Red Bulls and RB Salzburg.
Klopp is said to offer advice on strategy and coaching development for the group.

But will he return to management anytime soon?

In an in-depth interview with The Athletic last month, the German explained how he misses “nothing” about the lifestyle that comes with top-level management.
When speaking about a potential return, Klopp said: “But you don’t know. I’m 58. If I started again at 65, everybody will say, ‘You said you’ll never do it again!’ Er, sorry, I thought 100 per cent (when I said it)! That is what I think now. I don’t miss anything.”
However, Klopp has now taken on a new role in football alongside his exploits with Red Bull.

It was announced by the German Football League (DFL) this week that he will be a member of a new expert group that will advise on “the training and integration of talented players”.
A DFL statement read: “The expert group will address, among other things, the training and integration of talented players as well as the further development of club standards and structures. Initial results are to be discussed in the league committees in spring 2026 and subsequently with all 36 clubs."
2014 World Cup winner and Real Madrid legend Sami Khedira is also one of the notable members of the committee.
DFL Managing Director Marc Lenz and DFB Managing Director Andreas Rettig are involved.
