Jurgen Klopp has announced his return to the 'sideline' after accepting a job offer.

Klopp left Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 season after a legendary spell at Anfield.

He helped the club win the Premier League and the Champions League during his time in charge.

After walking away from Liverpool, Klopp spoke of his lack of desire to return to management despite being linked with several jobs, including Barcelona.

He eventually returned to football in a role outside of coaching after being appointed as the Head of Global Soccer at the Red Bull Group.

But the German has now landed a new gig, revealing he will be a pundit for the 2026 World Cup.

He shared a video on Instagram teasing a return to the sideline before clarifying his job as a pundit for next summer's tournament in North America, with USA, Canada and Mexico hosting games.

Klopp will be a pundit for German station Magenta TV.

The caption on his post read: "Grass underfoot, stadium atmosphere, very close! Back to the sideline, I'm looking forward to it!"

In the video, Klopp says: "Many of you have always known better. But I truly couldn’t envision it for myself.

"Going back to the sideline? I don’t miss anything. This is what I always thought. But now it is tingling again.

"Grass underneath my feet. The heated atmosphere in the stadium. And I want to be really close again.

"Oh? No, not as a manager," he added. "I am becoming a pundit for Magenta TV at the FIFA World Cup 2026."

Klopp then spoke to German television host and journalist Johannes B. Kerner, saying: "Hi Johannes. I’m in! See you on June 11 in Mexico! Cool sentence.

"Except for Indiana Jones, probably nobody can say it."

Given the 58-year-old's knowledge and experience, he will be on hand to deliver expert analysis of next summer's World Cup action.

Having spent time at Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, he will likely have plenty to say about Germany (if they qualify) and England's chances of becoming world champions again.
