Real Madrid are reportedly looking to do a swap deal to tempt Liverpool into selling Ibrahima Konate this summer.
Konate, 26, has played a key role in the Liverpool side since joining from German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig back in 2021.
So far, the Frenchman has made 132 appearances for the Reds and has formed a great partnership with club captain Virgil van Dijk.
However, in recent weeks, Konate's future has been the talk of the town ahead of the 25/26 season.

As things stand, Konate's contract will expire at the end of the upcoming campaign and talks over a new deal have reportedly stalled.
La Liga giants Madrid are said to be interested in signing Konate on a free transfer, something they did with Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer.
However, Liverpool do not want to lose Konate on a free transfer, having learnt from the Alexander-Arnold saga.

In a bid to potentially sign Konate this summer, Madrid are reportedly ready to include a player in an offer.
As reported by Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Los Blancos are 'exploring ways' to tempt Liverpool into letting Konate leave.
It has been suggested that the centre back's physical presence, defensive anticipation, and big-game experience led to him being on Madrid's wanted list.
The report stated that Madrid are prepared to offer €10 million plus Brahim Diaz in a bid to test Liverpool's resolve.

During this summer's transfer window, Liverpool have been linked with Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi, who could be the perfect replacement for Konate.
Aside from Guehi, the likes of Jorrel Hato and Levi Colwill have also been mentioned as potential targets.
Meanwhile, the Reds are said to be closing in on a big-money deal to sign striker Hugo Ekitike from German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, for a reported fee that could rise to €95 million.
