Liverpool fans have branded transfer target Florian Wirtz a club legend after he was spotted winding up Bernardo Silva and Bruno Fernandes.
Just days before he is expected to leave Bayer Leverkusen and join Liverpool in a club record deal, Wirtz started for Germany in their Nations League semi-final clash with Portugal.
During the game, the midfielder came up against several of his future Premier League rivals, including Manchester United captain Fernandes and Manchester City star Silva.

And after spotting one moment between the three men during the international clash, Liverpool fans have taken to social media to praise their transfer target and label him a club legend for his actions during the match.
Throughout the game, the German international was spotted clashing with both men, but tensions came to high late in the match as Wirtz and Silva walked into each other, seemingly injuring the City legend.

Wirtz, who appeared to be frustrated by the incident, started dragging Silva off the ground to get the match started again as his side trailed 2-1, prompting several Portugal players to run over in protest.

As soon as he arrived at the scene, Fernandes shoved Wirtz away from his teammate, and although the German received a yellow card for his actions, Liverpool fans love him even more.
Reacting to the moment, one fan wrote on X: "Wirtz rattled him BAD lmao."
While another wrote: "He’s not even joined yet bro already hate Silva and Bruno Fernandes."
One referenced Wirtz's recent social media post discussing his rumoured move to Anfield, writing: "Has he just announced his own transfer, again!"

And one fan claimed: "They’ll be a mural of him around the ground even before he signs at this rate."

It is not yet known exactly when the final details of Wirtz's transfer to Liverpool will be settled, but several reports from transfer experts Fabrizio Romano and Florian Plettenberg have suggested that the move is imminent.
Shortly after signing his former Bayer Leverkusen teammate Jeremie Frimpong, it is expected the Liverpool will play ip to €150million (£126m) for Wirtz, smashing the club's record fee.
