A truck driver who reportedly filmed the car crash that killed Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva has disputed claims made in a recent police report.
Last week, the football world was shaken to its core after news emerged that Liverpool star Jota and his brother Andre had been killed following a serious car accident.
The crash happened in the Spanish province of Zamora, and according to a statement released by local authorities, Jota and Andre were travelling in a Lamborghini which caught fire after going off road on the back of a tyre blowout.
Since Jota's death, tributes have poured in from Liverpool players and the wider football community.

On Tuesday, a new report from the Spanish police claimed that Jota was likely the driver of the car, and the Lamborghini was potentially over the speed limit when the tyre blew out.
It has been suggested that the expert report is still being worked on and finalised.
However, a truck driver who was travelling on the same road when the tragic accident occurred has disputed claims that Jota's vehicle was over the speed limit.

As reported by the Daily Mail, Jose Azevedo has stated that the car was not travelling above the speed limit when the accident happened.
He said: "I filmed it, stopped, tried to help, but unfortunately, there was nothing I could do. I have a clear conscience. I know what I went through that night because I didn't know who was inside. My condolences to the family.
"[The family] have my word that they were not speeding. I could see the make of the car, the colour of the car. I drive this road every day, Monday through Saturday, I know what road it is, and it's worthless."
Azevedo continued: "It's a dark road, and I could see the make and colour of the car, everything perfectly. Later on, unfortunately, that's how it ended."

Meanwhile, Spanish news outlet MARCA stated that another truck driver claimed to have been overtaken by Jota's vehicle five minutes before the crash, saying the car was travelling at 'moderate speed'.
Recently, Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan paid tribute to Jota, he said: "We have all been completely shocked by the situation and, again, can only think of what this has meant to their family.
"What we see behind us and the overwhelming outpouring of support and emotion and grief and love – having a chance to walk down the row here and read the cards and read the messages, our anthem, You’ll Never Walk Alone, it does mean something.

"In this case, I think everybody just feels so passionately about making sure that we remember the two boys but also that we support their family, and we’re going to work through this together."
