Liverpool star Curtis Jones has revealed the text message he received from former boss Jurgen Klopp on the back of reaching a big landmark against Leicester City.
On Thursday night, Liverpool welcomed Leicester to Anfield knowing a victory would take them seven points clear at the top of the Premier League after Chelsea fell to a shock 2-1 defeat against Fulham earlier in the afternoon.
Amid the heavy fog, Arne Slot's men had to dig deep as they came from behind to beat the Foxes 3-1, thanks to goals from Cody Gakpo, Jones and Mohamed Salah. Jordan Ayew was the scorer for Ruud van Nistelrooy's team.
After the match, midfielder Jones was reminded that he reached a huge landmark by former boss Klopp, who texted the 23-year-old.

The match against Leicester was Jones' 100th Premier League appearance, which he duly celebrated with a brilliant goal.
Speaking after the match, the Englishman revealed the text message he received from Klopp.
Curtis Jones explains text message from Jurgen Klopp
He told BBC Match of the Day: "I came in then and normally text family and I saw a text off [Jurgen] Klopp saying 'congratulations on 100 games and here’s to 500'. I was like 'what is he on about?'

"I just checked then and I am proud. It was him who set up the team we have now. The foundation was there and Arne Slot has carried it on."
Jones continued: "It looks good but there are plenty of games to come. You can play a team at the bottom, middle or top and it is a hard game. It is about trying to win every single game and if we do that everybody knows what comes at the end.
"We have still got a long, long way to go. There are plenty of games to come. We’ll take each game as it comes and try and win all the games."

Liverpool are now seven points clear of Chelsea with a game in hand. However, Arsenal have the chance to cut the gap to six points if they beat Ipswich Town at the Emirates on Friday night.
