Liverpool manager Arne Slot will reportedly consider selling as many as five key senior players as he prepares for a major summer overhaul.

With Arsenal dropping points during their match with Manchester United at Old Trafford while Liverpool came away with a 3-1 home win over Southampton, it would appear that the Reds already have one hand on the Premier League trophy.

Several Liverpool players have massively stepped up since Slot replaced legendary manager Jurgen Klopp at the start of the season, making the team one of the best in Europe.

Despite this, a new report has claimed that the Dutch manager has already picked out five players that he would be willing to let go in the summer as he plans to stay busy in the upcoming transfer window.

Ahead of the transfer window opening in June, much of the conversation surrounding change in Liverpool's squad will be focused on the expiring contracts of star players Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk.

However, Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Slot is also planning a major reshaping of the squad this summer, as Liverpool are expected to make several new exciting signings.

To facilitate this, the Liverpool boss is said to have given the green light for the club to explore the possibility of selling Caoimhin Kelleher, Wataru Endo, Harvey Elliott, Federico Chiesa, and Diogo Jota.

Rumours of the Kelleher's departure have circulated since the beginning of the season, as the Irishman has admitted that he is eager to secure regular first team minutes and would be willing to join another club to do so.

And with Georgian keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili set to join Liverpool in the summer having signed last year, it would appear that Kelleher is not in Slot's future plans.

Several clubs are said to be interested in signing the 26-year-old Irish international, including Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Despite only joining the club last summer, fans will also not be surprised to see Chiesa's name on the list, as the Italian has struggled to find regular minutes at Anfield, leading to some reports that he could be eager to leave the club in the summer.

However, the other names included on Slot's rumoured approved departures list will no doubt shock fans, particularly Endo who has proven himself to be invaluable in seeing out matches in recent weeks.
