Liverpool fans have already decided what Arne Slot’s first job will be when he takes over from Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp, who is set to depart Anfield when the 23/24 season comes to a close, is expected to be replaced by Feyenoord boss Slot.

On Monday night, Liverpool threw away a 3-1 lead as two late goals from Jhon Duran secured a vital 3-3 draw for Unai Emery’s men.

The draw meant Tottenham Hotspur have to beat Manchester City on Tuesday night if they are to overhaul Aston Villa into the last remaining Champions League spot.

Reacting on social media, one Liverpool fan said: “Arne slot, the only one request that I have for you as the new manager is to please teach Nunez the offside rule.”

Another fan tweeted: “I think Nunez needs the offside rule being explained to him again. The lad is never onside.”

A third fan added: “Nunez still doesn't understand the offside rule. Hope he takes some time over summer to learn.”

Someone else wrote: “If Nunez is staying (and I’m fine with that before people jump down my throat), the first thing Slot needs to do is teach him the f***ing offside rule because it’s beyond a joke at this point how often he’s well offside.” A fifth commented: “To Do List for Arne Slot: Teach Nunez the offside rule.”

Speaking recently about his expected move to Anfield, Slot said: “I say almost every time: it will be a matter of days. I expect the same now.

“Things like this take a bit more than going to the shop with a shopping list and ticking off the groceries. These are things that have to be timed properly and everything has to be worked out.”

He added: “There are sometimes some things attached to that as well. So that combination of factors means it hasn’t been communicated yet. But don’t worry, that will undoubtedly happen.”
