Alexis Mac Allister jokingly labelled his Liverpool teammate as the “most annoying guy in the world”.

Liverpool recovered from a poor first-half showing against Wolves, coming from behind to earn a 3-1 victory courtesy of goals from Cody Gakpo, Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott.

And while Mac Allister has seamlessly settled into life at Liverpool since his summer move from Brighton, the Argentina international had a day to forget at Molineux.

Mac Allister started in midfield for the Reds but picked up a yellow card inside four minutes before being replaced at the break by Luis Diaz.

Indeed, the 24-year-old had only returned to training with Liverpool on Friday, having been on international duty with Argentina.

Despite Saturday’s set-back Mac Allister has endeared himself to the Liverpool faithful, while he appears to be a popular character in his new dressing room.

He also seems to have developed a love-hate relationship with Reds left-back Kostas Tsimikas.

Indeed, on Instagram, Mac Allister posted a picture of Tsimikas, which he captioned, “The most annoying guy in the world”, accompanied by a cry-laughter emoji.

Despite having his game-time limited by Roberston, Tsimikas is thought to be a hugely popular member of Liverpool’s squad.

According to the Athletic, the Greece international is even set to sign a two-year contract extension to remain at Liverpool until 2027.

The left-back has made 62 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool since joining from Olympiacos in 2020 while he netted the winning penalty in the club's FA Cup final triumph over Chelsea back in 2022.

Tsimikas is tied to Liverpool until 2025, but is set to be rewarded for his importance to Jurgen Klopp's squad with an extension.
