Newcastle's reaction to Liverpool's first formal bid for Alexander Isak has been revealed.
The Magpies rejected a £110 million offer from the Reds for their star striker on Friday, it has been reported.
According to The Athletic's David Ornstein, Isak has communicated his desire to leave Newcastle this summer and is not currently training at the club.

However, it is claimed that Liverpool are not currently planning to submit another bid for the forward.
In the era of the ever-changing transfer market, it would not be a major surprise to see that stance change in the coming days.
But for now, Isak remains a Newcastle player.
The Daily Mail's Craig Hope has now provided an update surrounding Newcastle's stance on the matter.
He claims that the Magpies have been left 'baffled' by Liverpool's actions, given that the offer was considerably lower than their £150 million asking price.

Notably, it is also said to have been £10 million lower than the informal offer they made for the Sweden international striker last month.
Newcastle are also believed to have 'some anger' at how the process has developed, with one source even sensationally claiming that Liverpool have 'bottled it' since their initial interest in Isak was reported.
The Magpies have been searching for a new striker in the transfer market, but lost out on Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool and appear set to miss out on Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United.

Eddie Howe's side have seen a bid for Brentford striker Yoane Wissa rejected, and are now chasing Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins.
As for Isak, it is said there is 'no reason' for the club to believe that he will not be involved in first team training next week.
The Swede has missed their pre-season tour of Asia - and fixtures against Arsenal and a K League XI - through what the club state is a minor thigh injury.
The Magpies play Tottenham on Sunday before returning to the UK to continue preparations for the new Premier League season.
