Jose Mourinho has set the record straight after Kylian Mbappe was accused of breaking one of his strict rules.
Mbappe was forced to withdraw from the France national team’s squad after sustaining a knock against Turkey on September 25.
In the following days, he was spotted attending Paris Fashion Week and riding a bicycle.

Jose Mourinho clears up suggestions Kylian Mbappe broke strict rule
One of the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’s’ strict rules forbids his players from riding a bicycle while injured, with Mourinho bringing this up in a press conference in September.

“You cannot ride a bike,” Mourinho said when asked about Mbappe posting a video of him riding a bike through the countryside.
“You fall off, and maybe you don't play three matches, or maybe worse, you break a leg... There are a lot of things you have to give up to be a football player.”
Many, including the Spanish media, assumed that Mourinho would not be pleased by Mbappe cycling while in Switzerland despite being injured over the international break.
But Mourinho has cleared up the matter, explaining that Mbappe was simply using the bike for a short journey around a hotel complex.
“When it comes to Real Madrid, it's always different,” he said.
“But all the players did exactly what they were supposed to during the break. And then you always want to look for more problems and issues.
“What I can promise is when a Real Madrid player doesn't behave the way a Real Madrid player is supposed to and when he fails at that, and he stops being a Real Madrid player for 24 hours, you will not see that player on the bench because he will be at home.”
When asked if the coverage of Mbappe simply using a bicycle had been exaggerated, he added: “Exaggerated, no - I think it was ridiculous.
“If Mbappe plays tomorrow, it's because he hasn't failed Real Madrid and he hasn't failed to fulfil his obligations to the club.”
Jose Mourinho responds to suggestion Kylian Mbappe could be whistled by own fans
It was also put to Mourinho that Mbappe may be whistled by his own fans at the Santiago Bernabeu, to which he replied: “If that happens, it will be a victory for you, not pointing fingers at anyone in particular. In fact, in recent weeks, I thought you had enough real cases in the football world... but apparently, that wasn’t enough. Neither big cases like City’s, the difficult situation in my country with Cristiano and his coach... So many cases that could fuel your work, but it wasn’t enough. Madrid is Madrid, and there always has to be something. I was expecting the first question to be the only one about the match. A difficult match that has to be won. It seems ridiculous to me.
“This is one of your objectives. It doesn’t take Einstein to understand that this is the objective. Regarding the Bernabéu, I won’t comment, I respect it. My hope is that the Bernabéu will be capable of being fair.”
