Jose Mourinho has reportedly reached an agreement to leave Fenerbahce for a surprise new managerial role.
Mourinho joined the Turkish giants back in June, days after the 2024 Champions League final.
The Portuguese has guided Fenerbahce to a comfortable second place in the Super Lig, but they have once again failed to dethrone champions Galatasaray.

Mourinho's spell has also been dominated by off-field matters, with the 60-year-old regularly criticising the standard of officiating in Turkey.
He was also handed a three-match suspension last month for pinching the nose of Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk following a Turkish Cup defeat.
According to Turkish outlet Haberturk, Mourinho's Turkish adventure may only last one season.

Earlier this week, he was sensationally listed as the bookmakers' 4/1 favourite to replace Ruben Amorim as Manchester United manager if his compatriot leaves the club.
But that is in no relation to his potential next move.
Journalist Ahmet Selim Kul claims that Mourinho has reached an agreement with the Portugal national team to take over after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.
That would coincide with the end of his two-year Fenerbahce contract, with Mourinho then stepping up to international management for the first time.

But it is claimed that Portugal are considering whether to bring in Mourinho after the upcoming Nations League finals, which take place next month.
Kul reports that the Portuguese boss is seen as the ideal person to get the best out of Cristiano Ronaldo, who will - despite his incredible longevity, you imagine - be playing his last World Cup at the age of 41.
The current Portugal boss is Roberto Martinez, who took charge in January 2023 on a contract until the end of the 2026 World Cup.

Martinez's side reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 but were eliminated on penalties by France.
Last month, CNN Portugal claimed that the Spaniard could be replaced even if Portugal win the Nations League, despite winning 20 out of his 28 matches in charge to date.
Should Mourinho be appointed this summer, he would be set to become the third Champions League-winning manager to be in charge of a national side at the World Cup.
Carlo Ancelotti will become Brazil boss on May 26 after departing Real Madrid, while Thomas Tuchel is in charge of England.
