Jill Scott opens up on Roy Keane's harshest comments that get edited out of podcast after viral make-up joke

Jill Scott and Roy Keane are popular members of the Stick To Football podcast.

Jill Scott has opened up on Roy Keane’s harsh comments after their viral make-up joke.

Last month, whilst appearing on the new episode of Sky Bet's Stick to Football podcast in Germany for Euro 2024, Keane left Ian Wright and Gary Neville in stitches after a savage comment directed at Scott.

The former Manchester City midfielder said to Keane: “Did you miss your make-up appointment?”

Ex-Manchester United skipper hit back with: “You've been in there for two hours. And I tell you, it's made no difference!”

As Wright and Neville burst into laughter, Scott replied: “I'll take that as a compliment, like I'm a natural beauty.”

Speaking recently on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, Scott spoke about the joke and his banter with Keane.

She said: “I think everybody definitely gets to see that side a little bit on the podcast, but yeah, he’s a great guy. It’s been great working with them all on this podcast.

“It’s literally just sitting around with your mates, having a laugh and talking about football, so I’m really enjoying it. To be honest, I didn’t even think that was one of the harshest things he’s ever said to us, and I think it did go on social media. I was like, ‘that’s him being nice!’ So, a lot of it might get edited out.”

Scott also made a prediction ahead of England’s semi-final clash against the Netherlands. She said: “I actually think it will be done in 90-minutes, which I haven’t said about the previous ones. And I’m going to go for 2-1 England. 2-1, yeah.

“But I think it will be comfortable in the sense that I think we’ll go 2-0 up, and then they’ll get like maybe a last-minute goal or something, but it’ll be done. That’s what I’m praying for.”

The winner of England vs the Netherlands will take on Spain in the final of Euro 2024 in Berlin on Sunday night.
