Lingard had received plenty of offers but decided to leave the Premier League to venture to Asia.
Tom Keane was tasked with handling the 32-year-old's contract as he negotiated with FC Seoul and delivered a 'really good' deal for his client.
But the football agent admits it was an 'interesting' deal, revealing it was the 'strangest' contract that he has worked on.
Keane referenced the big 'commercial elements' to Lingard's FC Seoul deal, explaining the former West Ham United man received a percentage of ticket sales, merchandise and corporate partnerships.

"An interesting contract I did recently that I worked on was Jesse Lingard's in Korea," he told The Overlap - brought to you by Sky Bet.
"Really good contract for Jesse. Had a football element to it but a big commercial element to it."
He added: "So, part of that was Jesse would be paid his football salary but because of his sort of name and what he could bring to the club, there was a percentage of ticket sales, merchandise and corporate partnerships.

"So, like, this quite complex commercial deal. So, that was part of it. But then there was this cultural thing where I saw draft contracts... like that aspect of it was dealt with in like two lines.
"We spoke to the club and there was very much like 'well we've discussed it'. So, they kind of trust us.
"And I was like but 'we don't work like that here in Europe'.
"That was like culturally quite interesting and with that contract we obviously got into a place we were happy with."
