One France star has been slammed by the infamous French media outlet L'Equipe, as he is handed a brutal 2/10 rating following their exit from Euro 2024 at the semi-final stage.

France fell at the penultimate hurdle of Euro 2024, as Didier Deschamps' side were beaten 2-1 by tournament favourites Spain.

The French initially took the lead through Randal Kolo Muani who showed great composure to head home from close range following a delightful clipped ball from Kylian Mbappe.

Spain responded in champion-like fashion, as 16-year-old sensation Lamine Yamal scored a sensational long-range goal which was closely followed by another piece of technical excellence from Dani Olmo to make it 2-1 before the break.

Despite having the better of the play in the second half, France couldn't force the game to extra time with every single one of the French players lacking the cutting edge.

Despite disappointing performances all around it was full-back Theo Hernandez who took the brunt of the blame from L'Equipe, as the AC Milan man received a 2/10 match rating.

Hernandez endured a night where nothing went right for him, from running the ball out of play to being tormented by Yamal, it was certainly a night to forget for the 26-year-old.
