Spartak Moscow players and fans were left in disbelief after Pablo Solari broke the trophy the team won on Sunday.
Spartak took on Krasnodar in the Russian Cup final, playing out a 1-1 draw to head to penalties - where the Moscow outfit prevailed 4-2.
Solari scored Spartak's goal in the final but he was involved in an accidental trophy smashing as he posed with the prize after the triumph.
With the fans in the background, Solari hoisted the trophy in the air but as he did, the second part slipped off and smashed into pieces on the turf.

The clip quickly went viral online, though Solari couldn't be blamed too much as the design of the trophy looked a little faulty and all he did was lift it.
Sergio Ramos had infamous trophy smash moment with Real Madrid
Undoubtedly the most well-known trophy gaffe involved legendary former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos back in 2011.
Los Blancos beat Barcelona 1-0 in extra time to win the Copa del Rey, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the winning goal.
It was the first time Real had won the trophy in 18 years and Jose Mourinho's men celebrated with an imminent bus parade to mark the occasion.
However, at around 4am in the morning, the trophy, weighing in at 33 pounds, was dropped from the top of the bus.
Ramos was the culprit and the right front wheel of the bus rolled onto the trophy, smashing into pieces. It meant that when Real had a special ceremony at the Plaza de Cibeles in the Spanish capital, the trophy was not present.
Ramos saw the funny side and joked about his error on social media, writing:
The whole thing about the cup was a misunderstanding, it didn’t fall … it jumped off when it reached Cibeles and saw so many Madrid fans," Ramos tweeted at the time.
"Hahahaha … but don’t worry … have a good day."
A replica trophy was provided by jeweler Federico Alegre and the battered piece of silverware was placed in the the Royal Spanish Football Federation museum just months after the infamous smashing.
